Kobe Bryant 22 points in SPL vs China 1996-97 *RARE
July ??? 1996 The Pyramid Long Beach State Arena Long Beach, CA No Boxscore Statline: In about 31 minutes: 22 points, 4 assists, 8-18 FG, 1-5 3 pt, 4-5 FT Background: This is one of Kobe Bryant's Summer Pro League Games. Back then, SPL games were played in 2 halves and 20 minutes each half instead of nowadays 10 minutes with 4 quarters. The game was played in Long Beach and in this game the Lakers played Team China. The game itself was never broadcasted by the NBA but it was filmed by the Laker Organization for player evaluating purposes. So the game has no commentary, it is like a normal NBA broadcast with no scoreboards on the bottom, no watermarks, replays, and with ingame audio(although you can't hear what the players say on the court). This particular game shows Kobe Bryant as a 17 year old, the youngest player to ever be drafted into the NBA at the time. Bryant had shattered every record in high school and had completely torn the basketball court apart. The Lakers traded Vlade Divac for Kobe Bryant, a move that at the time was considered a high risk. But no one had the vision Laker GM Jerry West had on the young fella, and little did anyone else know how good he would become in future years. A month later, Kobe Bryant participated in the Summer Pro League. In this game, Kobe has the crowd ooh-ing and ahh-ing over his many tricks in his bag. Kobe has the crowd in his hands as he shows flashes of what is about to come in his first year in the NBA. Although very flashy, Kobe was also very clumsy at times as he made rookie mistakes here and there. This game is however a highlight reel of a young Kobe Bryant and his flashy style at it's best. Other Notes: Derek Fisher is also in this game wearing number 9.

Final Fantasy VII Piano Collections - One-Winged Angel[2]
All right here's finally a revision of my latest video Final Fantasy VII's One-Winged Angel. Overall I find this follow-up video quite successful. The improvements include tempo, dynamics, accuracy, and most importantly control. Contrasting to my last OWA attempt there has been differences between styles-of-play. In order to truly play this piece at my utmost concentration and control any whimsical behavior that was shown on my first attempt had to be sacrificed. Do to this level of seriousness I believe I can not out perform this good ever again. Some major influences and special thanks towards this video go to fellow YouTube pianists Sodaorat and Calbee219. For those unfamiliar with their OWA renditions I would like to let you all know that there rendition phenomenal and I spent some time studying these two pianists' techniques, touch, emotional aspects and control. Although the official Final Fantasy VII Piano Collection CD helped me out quite a bit without these two I probably would not understand the major do's and don'ts for this piece. Using what I have learned from each of the two OWA video attempts I combined my understanding between Sodaorat's level of technique, precision, and accuracy and Calbee219's passionate emotional skill and phrasing. Although I believe my OWA attempt can not truly master any of these two pianists' renditions found on YouTube I still believe my attempt was no less than successful. I will not complain any further about the tonality of my upright, but please bear in mind I did try with the best had (To Zanarkand; Sounds familiar anyone?) Thanks, CheonHoPark Note: Aside from personal thoughts and opinions... Structural Criticism is highly welcomed! In the meantime this is my own personal critique [You may use this as you watch the video]: [+] 15 secs: Nice lead-in; sound does not sound not as harsh as last attempt. [+] 18 secs: Improvement in decrescendo. [+] around 20 secs: Right-hand melody line is much more accurate, tempo remains strong. [+] 38 secs: Phrasing is well managed between right-hand and left. [+] 47 secs: Right-hand sound remains nice and strong; left-hand does not drown out the right-hand melody line. [-] 55 secs: The finger roll could have been a little smoother. [+] 57 secs: Great pianissimo, dynamics have been improved; notes are played confidently, great build in tension and crescendo. [+] 1:12 Very clean fingering and notes. [+] 1: 13 Nice touch with the echoing "D"! [-] 1:25 The echoing "SEPH-IR-OTH" line could have been a little more crisp, and perhaps use of less pedal. [+] 1:29 Pianissimo volume much more noticeable, touch is heavily emphasized. [-] 1:35 Tempo slightly becomes eschewed. [+] Wonderful touch, however. [-] 1:48 A little muddy. [+] Pianissimo melody line well managed. SCARY! o.0 [-] 2:07 16th notes not played clearly. [+] 2:21 Right-hand notes are played more confidently; an improvement from last attempt. [+] 2:25 Tempo remains constant; another improvement from last attempt, also, nice pianissimo. [+] 2:35 Dynamic and touch very accurate. [-] 2:50 Crescendo could have been played with a wider scale from s o f t to LOUD! [+] 2:55 Love the touch sir! [+] 3:00 -- 3:10 Nice dynamics, improvement in accuracy. [+] 3:06 -- 3:13 Awesome crescendo =) [+] 3:16 -- 3:18 Good decrescendo, also a good lead into the quiet section. [-] 3:20 Both hands could have been played a little quieter, left-hand slightly suffered and sounded harsh. [+] 3:22 -- 3:39 Good build up; improved. [-] 3:35 A note sounds a little wrong somewhere in there. [-] 3:40 Needs a little more OOMPH! [+] 3:41 -- 3:55 Angry, Pissed, yet Accurate, nice work. [+] 3:55 A slight boo-boo with tempo and notes. [+] 3:56 Nice lead-in with touch, good dynamics throughout. [-] 4:12 "SEPH-IR-OTH!" Could have been phrased a little better, and LOUDER. [+] 4:13 Crescendo is more defined through both rising right-hand melody notes. [+] 4:20 -- 4:26 BAM- bam- BAM- bam- BAM-bam bam-BAM-bam! = SUPERB [-] 4:28 I know I made mistakes here, missed a few notes, barely noticeable in the vid though... [+] 4:32 SEPH-IR-OTH!" FANTABULOUS ENDING! [=] 4:38 I pray too much. Extra Notes: A GOOD BUDDY OF MINE FINALLY BOUGHT ME FINAL FANTASY 7! All I have to is just play it =P I WOULD LIKE TO SEND A SPECIAL THANKS TO hueyfanatic [YouTube Account] aka HUE CHIN LEE (Huey/HUEWERT)
